Research Topics

Research Topics (MEng Research and PhD)

  • Research Master’s and Doctoral students have to complete a thesis as part of their study. A list of typical thesis topics are given at the link below.
  • These are not the only available topics – we only state a few to give prospective students an idea of the different fields of research that are covered in our department.
  • At a Masters Doctoral level, funding is closely related to specific topics. With each topic’s description we give an indication of the availability of funding for that topic (certain conditions apply). Please discuss with the potential supervisor.
  • Prospective students who have already been accepted by the Department for Postgraduate studies are welcome to contact the relevant lecturers for more information on their topics.
  • The list of topics are updated at the end August for the following year.
